doesn’t have to even become a relationship, just spending time with that one perfectly unique individual makes you feel gooey and insanely happy. And then you begin to talk. How incredible is it that they chose to focus on you? Even for a few minutes. That they’d thought they’d learn something by just talking or looking at you is enough to make you smile for the rest of the week. But soon after, they move on. You watch them sit with someone else, laugh with someone else, sharing that devastating smile, and all of a sudden your heart just sort of stumbles. You blink, looking around as if in a weird, parallel universe. But reality decided to come back from its vacation. And it’s very eager to remind you of what this really is.
