No One Wins

Whoever decided

War was a good idea?

What is it, really?

Countries get upset with each other

And refuse to see eye to eye

And instead of talking

Decide to shoot

And torture

And gas

And bomb

Each other.

But they don’t aim for the government.

No.

They aim for the civilians.

The ones who didn’t get a say.

The ones who were deemed ignorant.

The ones who had hopes

And dreams

And futures.

Their deaths are proof that

No one ever

Really

Wins at war.
